A camping site in the middle of the city. We went for a summer camp and our activities were planned for us. But if you are on your own planning for your scouts you might have to be creative. No hiking unless you go in a circle on the dirt road. Not much wildlife. Not even ducks in the pond. Would be nice for an over nighter but not any longer
Campsites are well dispersed and there are good bathrooms and showers. It's close to the highway but at the same time it's very quiet and peaceful. Tents only. No cabins. And to reserve a spot, you need to do it in advance. Drive slowly once you turn from Orange Dr. and pass Vista View park. Otherwise, you'll miss the entrance.

Nice scout camp needs more trees
It's a nice camp area with many ammenities including bathrooms and showers with hot water. Other features are archery range, COPE course, fishing/swimming lake. As a whole the only feedback would be that it could use more shade trees.
